About John Crane
Growing up I was always surrounded by people who inspired me to push for great things.  I had neighbors
who were like grandparents to me who showed me the value of learning, formal or otherwise, I had a
mother who worked an enormous number of hours to ensure she was able to provide for herself and family,
I had a step-father who developed his own construction company and after years of hard work is now
arguably one of the best general contractors in Northwest Pennsylvania, and many more.  Not a single one
of these individuals had formal education past high school, they were just wonderful people who would
share anything they had.
As I past through life I began to realize how lucky I was to have these catalysts around me, and the
unfortunate circumstances of others who did not have the support resources I did.  We did not have money,
in fact like a lot of families it was difficult to get by some times but somehow things aways worked out and
we got by, I attribute that to this day to the support we built around us.   It was at this moment I knew I
would spend the rest of my life trying to help individuals who did not have resources, support, education, or
other things I developed through my years.
My formal education includes a B.S. in Psychology from The Pennsylvania State University, where I also
spent time working on my MBA.  During my time at The Pennsylvania State University I conducted
numerous applied and theoretical research projects.  I was invited by The Erie Time News to serve as a
Market Research team consultant to a new publication they were developing, I worked with the Millcreek
School District to develop an after school program for children in their elementary school, worked as a
Market Research Consultant to the Harbor Creek School District concerning a possible dress code
implementation, and was awarded “The Council of Fellows Research Award” at Penn State for the best
Undergraduate Researcher.
These opportunities lead me to an opportunity to work for The Center for Credit & Consumer Research as
an associate researcher.  The center conducted credit card vulnerability studies (e.g. credit card usage and
understanding in elderly and mentally challenged individuals), as well as developing and assessing an
education program used to teach High School student how to utilize credit responsibility.  After a wonderful
time working in the corporate arena I decided to continue my education and joined The Center for Life
Improvement, LLC where I could try my hardest to work with families and individuals who can benefit from
my past experience and knowledge.  I have a very simple company philosophy which was instilled in my by
my grandparents, “There is Nothing Better than Good Old Fashion Customer Service” and that drives all of
the work I do.
As a life long learner I have continued my education with work on my Ph.D. in Health Psychology.  I have
also spent time as a Masters Level student in Forensic Psychology (program planning and assessment,
concentration), as well as in Law School (J.D, Juris Doctorate).  In addition I have numerous publications to
my credit, as well as presentations at professional conferences.  I am an active member of many
professional organizations including APA (American Psychology Association), APS (Association for
Psychological Science), and ABA (The American Bar Association).
Thank you for taking the time to get to know more about myself, please contact me with any questions you
may have.
Warmest Regards,
